Time Machine Recovery

Restart Computer
Hold down Options Key for Startup Manager

Click On Recovery Drive

You will see a menu with Time Machine, Click it
And Choose a date to Restore Back to

Agree to everything and
Let it do its job, Have Fun

Show or Hide hidden files and folders
Go to utilites and go to terminal

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles True
killall Finder
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
killall Finder

Add a new admin account
Turn computer on and wait for chime sound
press command+s
Type in: /sbin/fsck -fy :Press Return
Type in: /sbin/mount -uw / :Press Return
Type in: rm /var/db/.applesetupdone :Press Return
Type in: reboot :Press Return

Change user password
Turn computer on and wait for chime sound
press command+s
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
ls /Users this will display username
password a-user-name
password
password
reboot

Mountain lion and Maverick
Reset Password
Turn computer on and wait for chime sound
press option key to get in recovery mode
Go to utilites and go to terminal
type in resetpassword enter
confirm
reboot

Startup shortcuts
Turn computer on and press key

Option Key = Display Startup Manager
C = Start from bootable media (DVD, CD, USB thumb drive, and so forth)
T = Start in FireWire target disk mode
N = Start from NetBoot server
X = Force Mac OS X startup (if non-Mac OS X startup volumes are present)
D = Use Apple Hardware Test
Command-R = Use Recovery (OS X Lion or later)
Command-V = Start in Verbose Mode
Command-S = Start in Single User Mode
Command-Option-P-R = Reset NVRAM / parameter RAM
